{wandering alone down memory lane}

Afternoon coffee time.

I am knee deep in moving.  Packing {and unpacking} my life, piece by piece, box by box.  Sifting through possessions and memories. The past, present and future. Remembering, wondering, laughing, aching.  Moving is so emotional.  I can't do it purely as a logistical act.  There's always the journey through memory, the reflection, the taking stock of my life to date.  It's cathartic, but it's hard too.

Through a series of good luck and good planning the move is probably going to be the smoothest I've ever had.  Finding our gorgeous new place happened so easily and it's the most perfect place for us.  Birds and space, trees and light.  The non-negotiables.  I'm excited to establish myself in a new home, new routines, new opportunities.  I'm ready.

Three days and we'll be on our way.  Until then I'll be here, sifting and sorting through the days of my life.

    It sounds like things are falling together for your in a special way and, as always, I love the way you write about it.

  2. I'm so glad to hear that this move is coming so effortlessly for you, logistics-wise! I hope the trip down Memory Lane proves to be one that is joyful and eye-opening as you witness all that has transpired in the past few years since your last move =-)

    BTW: I haven't forgotten that I need to respond to your last message! I will do it before this week is over =-)
