{following my heart}

Happy heart

it's time to take a break from blogging.

for at least 6 months i've been battling with myself over this. feeling like it's time to take a break, not knowing how to let go.

 It was the words of Jamie Ridler in this post that helped make up my mind.
"Was that the way I wanted to live my life, protecting the status quo? Afraid to do the work of saying yes to the awesome? Or would I embrace the whole idea of creative living, being willing to disrupt (even destroy!) what is for what might be?...

... was I willing to risk what was in order to explore what might be?"
so it's time. another brave step into a year of change.

i hope that i will get back to this space.  i hope that time away will give me renewed energy and enthusiasm.  it holds such a big piece of my heart and so much of my story.  the place and time where i became an artist and a writer.  where i found my community.  where i found myself anew.

but i can't close myself off to the possibility that following my heart and trusting my gut might lead me to something equally amazing.  i can't be "afraid to do the work of saying yes to the awesome".

if you still want to hang out with me i'm over on instagram {as tinniegirl of course} and on flickr too.

off into the wild blue yonder i go.  wish me luck!

  2. Onward and upward. Enjoy what life brings you next.
    Coincidentally I realised I wasn't following you on Flickr just last night and amended that so I'll still be following you there and on instagram. x

  3. Good luck with everything you do. Sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do. I think it's great that you have been able to make a decision to do what is right for you. Sometimes those decisions are hard, but right for us. Once again good luck.

  6. Thank you for sharing the link to the post. It is something I am currently working on - learning to RECEIVE what I want, in spite of any chaos that may come with it!
    I know that you have been working to receive goodness in your life, too, so I am glad you are letting go of something big to make room/space for MORE GOODNESS to come in - this is not easy so I not only applaud you, but give you a standing ovation!!
    Good luck with the new job and I look forward to seeing you return with renewed enthusiasm and fabulous stories you are bound to collect in the next 6 months =-)
