Oops, and Ouch
The back step gave way yesterday morning as I rushed out to get some clothes off the line for work. Thankfully nothing broken, just some painful spraining.
An accident or a message to slow down? Maybe I'm supposed to quit work, or bring the washing in on Sunday nights in readiness for the week. Interpretations welcome.
i always think that things happen for a reason. i am so sorry you are hurting. but perhaps you will get some things done you might have otherwise put off, while you are down and nurturing your poor foot. hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteloves!
Ouch! I am so sorry you hurt yourself! I suspect it might be a message though, to slow down and think inwardly. Or perhaps "watch where you're going" (as the universe is trying to tell me all the time!)
ReplyDeleteHope your ankle feels better soon!
ohh noo! hope you aren't in too much pain.
ReplyDeleteslow down lovely lady, slow down!
probably the work thing too :)
hope you are better soon and thanks again for having us at your lovely get together, so much fun.
hugs
♥
Oh dear, I'm always grabbing things off the line to wear too. I hope your ankle gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteHow about it's just time for you to take care of yourself for a brief moment. We all have times when we need to do that but usually don't until something prompts us to do so. Be good to yourself, and happy healing!
ReplyDeleteOuch! Slowing down can be a very good thing, though. Maybe it's an indicator that you're doing too much right now!! Some restorative time out might be just the thing. I hope it heals quickly! (But not so quickly that you don't get to relax a bit.)
ReplyDeleteAfter standing on a bee last night in the dark and having to sit on my butt while everything calmed down, I'm thinking it's just a message to maintain the house and slow down a little. Must be the time of year really.
ReplyDeleteWhether that's the universe speaking or not, I think there's no better excuse to put your feet up... and contemplating ways to slow down and find your direction.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who swears that she always hurts her feet when she can't find a way ahead....
Oh crap! I hope you're ok. Will you still be able to ride your bike?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely quit work! LOL Hope the food improves fast. If you have any comfrey leaves they will speed up healing. Cherrie
ReplyDeleteI have consulted all the wise...
ReplyDeleteIt means your back step was busted !!!
and maybe just quietly it says treat yourself kindly my dear ...
Don't try to read too much into it - just enjoy some 'down time' with your feet up! So pleased Saturday went well.....and so disappointed to have missed it!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a message to slow down. Or maybe a message to take some time off work and put your feet up...say, at a craft table? Or in front of a canvas? Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteOuch! poor you! hope it heels quick. Arnica??? give it a whirl.
ReplyDeletePoor you :-(
ReplyDeleteIt's quite clearly a sign that housework of any kind is dangerous and should be avoided. I learnt my lesson after spraining my ankle tripping over the vacuum cleaner. No more vacuuming for me! I don't enjoy extreme sports....
Ouch indeed! I think it means that you need to put your feet up and take time for a bit of personal crafting ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope it mends quickly and you're back on your feet in no time!!!
I am so sorry for your mishap! Take some time off to do the things you don't normally get to do. Hope you get better soon!
ReplyDeleteOuch is right! I am constantly banging into something, etc.... I know I need to slow down and actually think about what I'm doing and where I'm going.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon!
Oh, poor thing! Maybe sit down, put your feet up and breathe? Enjoy life?
ReplyDeleteListen to what your body is telling you. I have learned the hard way that rushing and trying to do too much is very harmful to the body and the spirit. Hope you are better soon. Don't rush the recovery as it may not heal properly xx
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing ... I hope your foot is better soon. It sounds painful!
ReplyDeleteOh and remember your first aid: R.I.C.E. (rest, ice, creativity, elevation). At least part of that formula will make you feel better!
awww nasty! A sign that you need a servant perhaps ;)
ReplyDeleteooooh I hope you are on the mend Cathy. I think it definately means give up work and do what you love full-time!! xx
ReplyDeleteOMG! thankfully it was only one stair that broke...
ReplyDeletemy crystal ball tells me that you just need to take time for more healing, though i'm inclined to agree with Mel that 'housework of any kind IS dangerous' =-)
but ultimately, only the future will tell what the true outcome will be...do i sound sufficiently gypsy-like??? ;)
ouch! That looks sore.
ReplyDeleteMy brain just isn't up to any deep interpretations today :) So I'll just add: take good care of yourself Cathy. And rest. And make sure you have people serve you cakes and lots of cups of tea while you recover!
x
ouch! hopefully that is better soon. probably not a bad idea to slow down
ReplyDeleteOW. Hope your foot feels better soon.. you don't realise how much you use your feet until they hurt.
ReplyDeleteDamn the washing line! Hope your foot heels very soon...
ReplyDeleteI am always grabbing clothes off the line (now that I have one again!) at the last minute...
Well put your feet up and chillax!

ReplyDeleteOuch!! Sprained ankles are one of those weird things that are sort of half injuries. Nothing is broken but it still hurts like heck. They are just super annoying. Hope your ankle feels better quickly!
ReplyDeletehi cathy...i hope you are feeling a bit better. i left you something on my blog. sorry if you get a lot of these, you are so wonderful i wouldn't be surprised.
