Boundary Issues

We've spoken about it before, she and I, but the message never seems to get through. Cats on the ottoman is a YES, cats on the coffee table is a definite NO. Lucky for her she's so cute.

Hey, did you read the latest scoop on my Tinnies? They are going, going....

  2. I too have cats, two of them, Where they want to sit? anywhere they want! In my eyes they cannot do anything wrong, it is a good thing they are not so large as to break things, but one look at them and all i can say is how cute are they !!
My friend is always telling me not to let them do this or do that, but to me since they are not allowed outside free range like (they have their own enclosed garden) the house is their playground equipment.

  4. We have the same rules in our household... with very much the same results :)

p.s. I'm glad I got myself a mini-tinnie in the glory days :D Brilliant during their day. Best of luck with the next venture, onward and upward.

  5. Your cat is saying- "get a bigger ottoman". They need to stretch, you know! Mine has made a house and invited the neighbours to the top of the clean washing pile- can hardly see her it's so big!

  7. It looks like she's compromising. 80% on the ottoman, 20% on the coffee table. Lovely to catch up with you at Nikki's blogmeet.

  8. I'm having the exact same boundary issues with my handmande Flickettysplits cushion..... he can sit anywhere else on the couch and on any other cushion - why pick the expensive handmade one that shows all of the cat hair..agggggghhhhhh

  9. Before I read anyone else's comments, I have to say - as all cat lovers know, clearly the boundary issues are not with them, they are with us. SHE feels totally entitled to laze on said coffee table if she sees fit, it's obviously YOUR issue to deal with. I mean, really! The cat ALWAYS rules!! :) (which is why I miss having them) and she is beautiful.

  10. PS I too am sorry your tinnies are in the decline but it's great to see you opening up to other creative urges and really following them through - good on you and good luck with it! And don't forget to post updates on your new garden every now and then!

  11. I have the same issues, too. Though the cat is perfectly behaved. Its Argy & Bargy I find on the coffee table!

  13. She's *mostly* not on the coffee table! I like that there's a little bit of effort there.
