It's Friday, And You Know What That Means
In celebration of the weekend, which I am very much looking forward to after a big week getting back to work routine and life in general, I thought I'd have a giveaway.
Would you like to win a copy of the most fabulous MixTape Zine. I happen to have a spare copy to share. It's full of crafty goodness, including an article by yours truly. I also thought I'd make a Mix CD to go with it, and maybe throw in a surprise or two.
To enter leave a comment on this post telling me what you're up to on the weekend. I'll draw a winner... well you know me... when it happens, it happens... some time after the weekend. Happy to send internationally or locally.
Happy weekend peeps.

Oooh I've been a bit tinnie lately, so I hope I win! I'm off to Adelaide for the weekend to see someone very special :D
ReplyDeleteYour weekend looks fun, especially the "letting it all hang out" part.
I might see you at Northside on Saturday, I'll be sharing some space on the Collective table.
ReplyDeleteOoh Mixtape, I would love to have a look at that! Count me in!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that you're still up with the Love Fridays vibe. I will have to find a way to catch some of that vibe from you.
This weekend I'm going to be full on resting reading relaxing eating sleeping photographing and scribbling. Whether scribbling words or pictures we shall have to see!
I'd love to win too, I'm working for most of this weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect weekend (mainly cos you're hanging out with me)...hee hee
ReplyDeleteI already have mixed tape but I wanted to stop by and say hello and have a good weekeend.
ReplyDeleteHey Cathy
ReplyDeleteWould love to check out your writing! Am becoming a bit of a zine queen, having discovered so many new ones lately. Is there such a thing as being over-inspired? This weekend I am spending at least half a day Mondo Beyondo dreaming, and then the rest hanging out with my boyf after a very long week! Enjoy yoursXx
I'm doing the usual ... filling the shelves again, filling the clothesline again, taking it off the clothesline and putting it all away again ...a bit of cooking, a glass or wine or two and time with the family
ReplyDeleteLove the card generator, thanks for sharing it! I am looking after a little man who has come down with croup and prepping for work/lectures on Monday - not the most exciting one ever. x
ReplyDeleteOh I haven't got a copy of the new mix tape yet ! I am helping Liesa with her first Handmade Heaven Party and contributing my creations to the mix also, That's Sunday, Saturday will be spent around the house mowing, etc BBQ lunch and a swim after all the hard work !
ReplyDeletei've never read mixtape before, but i have heard so much about it that i would really quite like to one day.
ReplyDeletei've been away for the last two weekends so this weekend will be taken up by lots of washing, cleaning, vacuuming and mopping. i also have a stack of school work that i *should* do, and a new book i want to start, and i plan to do a good couple of hours of crafting too. ohh, and plenty of sleeping in. chances of me managing all of the above? probably fairly slim.
This weekend I'm shaving the hubby's head and face for the greatest shave. I love mixtape but don't have the latest yet. Might see you there in Northcote too. :-)
ReplyDeleteI.m taking the kiddo to ballet... and catching up with some mum friends on Sunday - and I so need that right now!
ReplyDeleteI'd love the mixtape mag. Haven't read one yet... is this the one Ms Curly Pops and yourself are featured in?
Have a fun weekend yourself.
x
Ooooh, off to check out that card generator, it looks cool. Unfortunately house cleaning is on my weekend to do list too! Hopefully a nice trip to the park or perhaps a photo opportunity bush walk or drive is on the cards as well.
ReplyDeleteMixtape mag looks interesting. I'd love to win it.....this weekend will see me with my Grandchildren and also sewing a gift for a newborn babe.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Cathy and glad to see you are getting back into it.
ReplyDeleteAs for my weekend? I'll be down the beach catching up with my parents who have been in Tassie for a couple of weeks, making the most of the lovely autumn weather, and trying to sew up a pair of pyjamas. I've already cut them out, so it shouldn't be too hard right? Wish me luck!
Enjoy your weekend too.
Welcome back to Oz Kathy :) albeit a late welcome home, but better late than never! This weekend I have been coffee'ing with my little girl, fondling fabrics, sitting in my clean sewing room surrounded by patterns, fabrics, left over pizza, a 1kg box of chocs and a cup of tea... dreaming of when I will have more time to do all I want, but knowing it will happen. In the meantime I continue to dream :)
ReplyDeleteOh well, too late! I was selling them today at the market and thought I'd better buy a copy when I covered one in rasberry muffin crumbs.
ReplyDeleteYes, I did buy the crummy one....good article btw.

on the weekend, firstly had a brunch in the treetops at Eltham, beautiful view, great food, wonderful company and fun with the kiddies, then popped into the same AMAZING market and spoke with Cathie (M.E.) and curlypops (so lovely) and had the best day. Tomorrow the gardening group and church. It is a good weekend and look at the lovely weather.

Lovely to have you back...Well in between napping, having visitors over, we travelled over the West Gate bridge tonight for a family Indian feast which was incredible esp the Butter Chicken, Sunday we have a fun filled day with the morning going to a celebration at Packer Park (S/E side) and supporting our school crafty/cake store!..then I may just pack my bags in anticipation that I am due in just over a week with babe number 3!
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy, I just wanted to let you know how much your MixTape piece resonated with me when I read it a week ago. Thank you! I obviously already have this MixTape, so no need to enter me in the giveaway :-) It's been lovely following you around the US, and lovely to have you back again. Anna xx
ReplyDeleteooh would love to win a copy of your MixTape Zine! and a mixtape cd would be such a lovely bonus! I spent today with Chrissy at the Scottsale Arts Fest. Tonight I completed stage 1 of homemade lemoncello and tomorrow I plan to spend the entire day in my studio getting my craft on! :)

Can I have another weekend? Ex.Haust.Ed. Nothing like pootling around the countryside toying with 'tree change' with small persons in the back of the car. Sanity saved by a packet of snakes, some of which were dangled out the window.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend has been truly lovely (well, except the window leaking in my kitchen).... thrift shopping, Liberty of London, Trader Joe's, etc. Wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy hope you have a relaxing weekend! I would love to have a copy of this zine, in fact I just heard of these for the first time this week in Mondo Beyondo. I would love to see what you have to say in one!

me me me ... pick me! LOL
ReplyDeleteAfter lots of rain up here in Qld, I think we'll be spending the weekend in the garden! The kids will be up the trees, the man will be mowing, and I'll be picking all the veges that have gone nuts in the rain :) Thanks for the chance to win, I've only just discovered MixTape with a few back issues Justine had on sale. Would love to read the new one!
ReplyDeleteOh see, if you read my latest post you'll know what i was up to - NO INTERNET!! So forgive this Monday inclusion to your Giveaway, due to technical difficulties . . . had a quiet weekend at home in the studio with only one children's party (bowling) to attend. Love Posie
ReplyDeleteI was lucky enough to have some spare time on Sunday to do some sewing. Saturday was spent grocery shopping and taking the kids to a little carnival up the road.
ReplyDeleteOh I'd love to be counted for your giveaway, though I never tend to have much luck in that department!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for some time to paint, and procrastinating on major work deadlines that are coming up!
ReplyDeleteHoney am i too late? Anyway i wanted to post to say this weekend im being creative 24/7 literally! (even in my sleep!)Im going to be at the Digable Arts Festival, doing some collaborate painting with a friend, selling (hopefully) some of my prints and cards and just letting go of everything else in my life to just create and see where it takes me. Have a fab one my friend. xxx
ReplyDeletehope it's not too late to sign up for the giveaway, but it's okay if i am...not having decent internet at home really gets me behind-hand in keeping up with blog buddies!! =-P
ReplyDeleteof course, seeing "Alice in Wonderland" with Doug on Saturday, then spending time with my dear Wise Woman in Ventura all day Sunday and taking a day off on Monday kept me from checking out all the doings in Blogland! hope all is going well with you today and that the 'waiting game' is beginning to ease up...
