Ms L's friends own the most fabulous house down on the Mornington Peninsula. I've dubbed it 'the house of retro goodness'. It's full to the brim with sensational retro furniture, bric a brac, etc, etc. It's absolutely delightful. Stepping into it is like stepping back in time.
A time where I sat at my grandmother's laminated table on the vinyl chairs having supper before I went to bed. A time where I cosied up in the lounge room in front of the heater in the evenings playing monopoly and cluedo. A time where the tv got turned off in favour of spending time with people. Good times. Simple times.
We're very lucky that these wonderful people have offered up their beach house to us on a number of occasions this year. On both visits I've returned home feeling completely refreshed and renewed. There's some magic in that house , 'the house of retro goodness'.
And I so want to take home that dinner set!
Remember my grandparents laminated table very well too.
