I Still Can't Find Them
Heffernan Lane, Melbourne
I've looked under the bed,
in the pantry,
on the desk at work,
in amidst the piles of autumn leaves lying in the gutters.
On the streets as I ride along,
in the neighbours chook shed,
and even deep within myself.
All to no avail.
I have no words
Not for you, not for me.
I hope you find your words soon. If not perhaps you will find some pictures for us?????

Take a little break and do some reading. Sometimes I feel like I use up all my words, and need to read to absorb some back in to my word-bank.
ReplyDeleteOr even better, break out some old Depeche Mode and "Enjoy the Silence" (hehehehe).
P.S. Happy Birthday to you sneaksy girl!!!!
Stop looking. They will return when they are ready. As long as there's nothing else going on to make you speechless I'd just take it as a message from the Universe that you need a break from words. Maybe just go with pictures for a week. Out of place colours around you are interesting to spot.
ReplyDeletethis sign is fabulous!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the advice re sewing last week. Once I have finished the other three(!) courses I am doing I will dive right in. For now, the gentle encouragement helped me get going and I LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteI also love these last two wispy posts of yours

I have no words either, and to be honest I'd be just as happy if they didn't return for a while. My personal and professional worlds have just collided and it's an icky feeling.
