She Can't Be Far Away
Did you love to ride the see-saw when you were a kid? Did you love that feeling of rising and falling, rising and falling? Do you remember the impossibility of trying to balance a see-saw with someone who was much bigger or smaller than you?
My life is the see-saw at the moment. Work is the bigger of the two riders, resting heavily on the ground and refusing to budge.
I'm going to ground for a few days. As Kenny Rogers said "you've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run".
I can't run away, but I can fold. Work wins this round. I'll be back around the 10th December, just in time (hopefully, fingers crossed) to get ready for Made n' Thornbury market on Saturday 12th December.
See you soon.

See you then! Try not to work too hard!!
ReplyDeleteWill be thinking of you. Don’t drown in all that work. It’s good you know there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that it has a date.
ReplyDeleteSee you when you get back.
ps I have started that reply to you, it is a bit of an epic, I hope to get it to you soon.
Good on you for making some space where it seems like there's none. See you when you're back.

ReplyDeleteThe way I figure it, Kenny knows everything. Look forward to having you back.
ReplyDeleteMy three battles at the moment are work, Buttontree Lane and chronic hayfever. Last night the hayfever won and I sat on my bum on the couch all night staring at the TV. I think I needed it though.
ReplyDeleteHope you come back all rearing to go!!
you know the Gambler is the only song chef knows every word to. weird.
ReplyDeleteAll the best for getting everything done, the run up to xmas is a tad nuts. See you soon. : )
