Gone Cycling

I'm not on holidays in France but I might as well be I'm feeling so contented. My week off so far has involved staying up really late crocheting and watching cycling, and making great progress on my granny squares.

Lots of cooking. Slow foods like lamb shank cassoulet. Tonight it's prawn and mussel paella. Tomorrow it's poached quinces.

Painting, reading, writing and dreaming. I love holidays!

For the first time in months I feel relaxed and at ease. There's a sense of abundance surrounding me and I'm enjoying every bit of it.

That phone call I was waiting on arrived and I'll be starting a new job in a few weeks time. Back in the city where I love to be. Doing work that's going to be more satisfying than what I've been doing for the past year. It's all part of the bigger picture that I'm creating for myself at the moment.

Since I signed up for an Artful Journey next year, and got a place, I've decided that I'm just going to have to make it happen. I'm so excited. This is a dream come true and it's coming true simply because I decided it would. Again, it's been a long time since I've been able to come at things this way.

CurlyPops and I have a play date tomorrow so there's sure to be some fun going on around here.

Don't worry if you don't hear from me for a few days. I'll either be in the kitchen, or the studio, or in bed watching telly. Whatever it is, I'm sure to be smiling.

  17. Wow! A new job and an artful journey - congratulations! The universe seems to be trusting you right back.

I'm deciding that I'm going to be inspired by you - I know that's not how inspiration traditionally works, but I'm sort of in a spot where I need to find a way to get myself going again. Thanks for being such a great example to follow.
