Wallpaper Rocks

Oh yes, it's true. I love Wallpaper. I do, I do, I do.

Do you or anyone you know happen to have a great wallpaper stash? Do you know of any Etsy or Ebay sellers, or other places to purchase? I'm trying to build up my wallpaper stash. I only need smallish amounts for collage work. I'd be happy to pay or to do a swap of some sort.

  1. I was on a hunt for great wallpaper during finders keepers. MyPoppet had some terrific seventies wallpaper in one of her displays ones! You've sort of teased us with your photo. I'd love to see some of those gems up close.

  2. Oh I wish I knew. We might be (fingers crossed) moving in to our own place soon, and the first thing I'll do is wall paper a feature wall. after 15 odd years renting...I can't wait to do whatever I want to the walls.
I do know a place in westgarth, you probably know it too, that sells vintage wallpaper, but she's expensive and mostly sells whole rolls only. I'll keep an eye out at the oppies for you. (:

  4. Have you looked at wallpaperfromthe70s.com they have cool and beautiful wallpaper and you can buy small samples, about A4 size in length but irregular width. I bought a few and they popped in some extras that would match. It's based in Europe somewhere.

  5. Oh, I am just flinching here. A couple of years ago, I happened across a small business who made designer curtains and I popped in to ask if they had any old swatch books. Not so lucky on the fabric front but they did handover a truckload of wallpaper swatch books. I am ashamed and appalled to admit, that two months ago, I came over all claustrophobic in my studio, and although it broke my heart, I donated em all to the local op shop and a kinder. So, I am very, very sorry I no longer have a stash to have kittens over and donate in your direction. And I probably shouldn't add that the little curtain making business closed down about a year ago. SIgh...

  7. I find lots of wallpaper designs and designers names in the HOME BEAUTIFUL magazine! Have a looky through it next time your in Woolies, and you might find a website or two!
Good guess on the snake, that's what I thought he was when I first saw him! But believe it or not, he actually isn't! Have a closer look, his neck's not as flat and his eyes aren't as round as a red belly's!
Have another go. Sarah's the closest guess yet!

  11. happy hunting, I hope that your stash soon grows. One of the above posts reminds me of stories people tell me about using chenille and candlewick bedspreads for paint drops etc etc and sending them to the tip, YIKES!
