The biggest, heartiest chuckle that I've had in a long time delivered by a scene in Marley and Me.
A wonderful day of crafting, chatting and snacking with the girls. For those of you who were wondering what the Thornbury Craft Bonanza is all about, it started here. These days it's like getting together with a bunch of girlfriends I've known for years. I love the comfortable space that we inhabit. You know what I'm talking about don't you? That wonderful connection that women share.
Loot comes in all shapes and sizes.
I know that connection. I've been in the same quilting group for about 7 years, and even though people have changed, that feeling of companionship and trust never changes.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a nice day!
It sounds just divine. I love hanging out in women's spaces, and crafty women's spaces must just be the next level!
ReplyDeleteHappy days like that are the best!
ReplyDeleteIt was such a lovely afternoon. Time always flies by so fast when you're having fun!
ReplyDeleteIt was great to read about your inspired gardening efforts - can't wait to see! I bought most of my plants as tube stock from a local community native plant nursery. There is a terrific one down your way but I have to email my friend for details. In the meantime I found this one online. It is on Yarra Bend Road, in Fairfield, which I think might be in your neck of the woods?:

I know what you mean about that connection between women - it's precious.
What a great day... lovely to craftwarm the house and to see everyone. Too bad I overdosed on jam doughnuts... (not)
ReplyDeleteI meant to join in on the 7 days of loot but my week disappeared! It was really fun seeing all your loot!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a great afternoon.
