It's Sure Looking Like Christmas

We are in major wind-down holiday mode here at the House of Tinniegirl and Friends.

Oh, how fabulous it feels to wake in the morning and not need to get anywhere in a hurry. The thought of days and days ahead of me with no major plans and only fun things to do is just what I need right now.

I've been working on a few last minute Christmas bits and bobs. Ms L and I decorated the tree and it's feeling lots like Christmas.

The last of the Christmas presents have been made now.

My first ever zip. I found it quite a challenge and will have to work on a few more to get better. For a first attempt I'm pretty pleased. I feel like my sewing is really coming along these days.

This brooch is a collaboration between Ms L and I. We made one for each of her nieces and I think it's lovely that they get something that we both made together.

Tomorrow I think I might do a little bit of baking and who knows what else. Glorious holidays.

  1. I'm at the point where I'm counting down the days at work and have only odds and ends to finish. Well, except for the present wrapping. That will take some time. I love these last few days of anticipation.

  5. hehehe, I know exactly what you mean, I put Christmas Carols on loud last night, popped on an apron, and cooked up a feast (me, who usually hates the kitchen!). I'm right into it.

And the feeling of having nowhere to be in a hurry, or no work needing to get finished is glorious! I can hardly stop the the desire to nap during the day away, although I'll wait till after Christmas before I get into that. :)

Enjoy your time, and Merry Christmas to you and Ms L.

  8. Ohhh, torture me with the photo of ZZ-ZZ on the sofa, when I've been working all week. Bring it on: I'm ready for lots of NOTHING over the holidays.

Lovely crafty results! That purse is so sweet.

  9. I love the brooch! And what a good idea for both of you to work on one piece together. I think the little zippered pouch looks great. (I have yet to try anything with a zipper)

You have a sweet little tree. We haven't put any presents under ours for fear that Sasha will tear into them. :)

    Merry Christmas!!
