Well maybe not steel, but definitely tin. Anyway I couldn't resist another nugget of Australian nostalgia. If you aren't familiar with one of Australia's iconic bands, Cold Chisel, you might want to watch this video.
My first lot of Tinnies headed off in the post today, and I was delighted to be sending them. I hope they bring a smile and lots of inspiration to the lucky girls receiving them.
Now speaking of lucky girls, there's two other Tinnies going to new homes this week as well. Anastasiac and Badskirt are the winners. Email me your details and I'll get your Tinnie off in the mail to you.
If you haven't been to check out the shop yet pop over and have a look.
If you're around on Saturday pop back here with a cup of tea for the weekly "What Shall We Make Today" post. Each week I'll bring you some ideas or a tutorial for projects that you can make with the contents of a Tinnie.
Lastly, thanks to everyone for all the fabulous support, encouragement, kind words and good wishes for my new creative venture. It really does mean the world to me to have the support of a great community. In fact, I couldn't have done it without you!
This is such an amazing idea! Well done!! It's so exciting.
ReplyDeleteI love these bits of Australian culture. I usually stand around at a party with a blank stare as the locals discuss Boom Crash Opera or Cold Chisel. After five years, you'd think I'd be indoctrinated, but I appear to have a long way to go! =)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear that TinnieGirl is already a success and parcels are headed out the door. It's such a great idea! And I'm a lucky girl myself.
I'll drop you an email with my details soon. Hooray and thank you for holding a giveaway!
I'm so sad I didn't win! But thanks for the doing the giveaway; Tinniegirl has definitely set off on the right foot.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new venture! What a great idea. I am sure with all the amazing crafty people around (in blogland alone) you will have great success. Well done.
